Piiceon — Validation Begins

The engineering current began in 1993. Memory validation began at Piiceon and continued throughout. After the 1999 acquisition, Piiceon operated as a near-zero-inventory JIT supplier while preserving triple verification for blind, double-blind, and triple-blind shipments.

Tandy / Supermicro High-Density Upgrade

Piiceon built true 2 GB DDR1 modules. In single-CPU E7520 servers, four CPU-attached sockets provided 8 GB; with two CPUs, all eight sockets could provide 16 GB. Two matching servers were purchased before delivery so every module could be validated in the customer's platform.

Failures occurring faster in the air-conditioned office than in the hot warehouse led to system-level investigation. Supermicro certified memory failed identically. A Tandy-specific Broadcom addition created an overcooling interaction at maximum memory population, requiring replacement of 500 boards and a revised 50-system delivery current.

Specifications describe possibilities. Engineering validates reality.

PHC — Operations at Scale

The PHC relationship began in 1993 through Samsung excess supply and later became a major Piiceon customer and contract-engineering relationship. From 2006 through 2008, two approximately 100,000-square-foot warehouses processed Fry's Electronics returns. Up to 20 trucks could arrive over two days, averaging 26 pallets each.

Singh Semi — Precision and Automation

From 2009 through 2013, methods developed through Piiceon and PHC were expanded into quality infrastructure capable of validating Intel and AMD CPUs and memory configurations. SharpChips.com managed more than 3,000 products through centralized data and market-aware pricing policy.

The 2012 Houston SSD facility used scanner-only traceability, firmware conversion, five-minute reporting, and packaging as a final verification gate. Reserve capacity made a 2,000-drive daily commitment routine.

Parallel Production and Immersive Engineering

Semiconductor and production currents operated concurrently. Component-level knowledge made it possible to build purpose-designed media servers and choose the best-performing system rather than the most expensive one.

Projection mapping began around 2008 through Vibration. Immersive Pro was founded by Sean Mason in 2010–2011 within Elevate Productions. Jason supported system integration, projector deployment, coverage, custom media servers, and Engineer-in-Charge responsibilities.

Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara in February 2016 represents a mature expression of that current.

Light Science

November 2011: Light Science AV established its San Francisco office and storage through a warehouse sublease with Elevate Productions.

2014: Light Science was established as the broader entity focused on visual art production, immersive experience, and overall engineering.

2006–Present: Jason continues as an Independent Systems Engineer, supporting the convergence of greater currents. As Chief Engineer and Founder of Light Science, Senior Video Engineer with Elevate Productions, Technical Director with Groove Event Management, and Engineer in Charge (EIC) / Technical Director with Event Technology Services (ETS), each current contributes to a broader engineering ecosystem where knowledge, experience, and collaboration continuously strengthen one another, allowing the communities in which they operate to grow beyond expectations for all parties involved.

The industries changed. The engineering did not.
